You may have heard, we hosted our very own cinema event this week.
It all started a few months back when our design team eagerly headed up to London to watch the European premiere of Design Disruptors, a new documentary produced by the company behind the SaaS product InVision. The documentary was so inspiring, we jumped at the chance to host our own screening.
Understandably most events of this kind are held in London and other major cities, but with the amount of creative businesses around Hampshire and Surrey, we thought it was time to make a little noise and start putting Rushmoor on the map as a creative hub.
“We’re big on educating the importance design plays in the growth of business. We hope this intimate gathering creates space for local creative professionals and forward-thinking business owners to come together and be inspired…”
– David Jemison, Creative Director at Deuce.
Come Wednesday 5th October, the cinema-style banners and smell of popcorn had the office buzzing. With Deuce HQ located just two minutes from the West End Centre where the screening was taking place, it didn’t take long to move everything across to get set up, and before we knew it guests were walking through the door.
After a few rounds of complimentary drinks laid on by our sponsor Total SEO, casual introductions were made. It was soon time to settle into the theatre and watch the film, although not before grabbing a free tub of Deuce-branded popcorn! “Never miss a branding opportunity!”, one attendee quite rightly heckled…
The film ended to a round of applause, and it was great to see so many guests stick around after the screening to discuss their thoughts and engage in some lively conversation about design and business. As the night came to a close it was clear the film and event had been a success. Thank you to all those who attended. It was wonderful to meet you all and we hope to see you again at similar events in the future.
